Time Ending, Part II
Another way time could end is that the universe is really a membrane, or rather, a "brane", floating through a higher dimensional space. So imagine we are like caterpillars clinging to a leaf. sure, we are able to move around in our 4-D prison (the fourth dimension being time) but not off of it. Now imagine a giant hurricane hitting our leaf. We would have to cling on for dear life, not able to move at all. So what if our "brane" does the same thing? Galaxies would have to move faster and faster as the brane moved faster, to stay "within" time. Eventually, when the brane reaches over the speed of light, the galaxies will be frozen in time. We would have to move faster than light to be able to move at all, and, since that is impossible, we would be unable to move at all. Eerily, that is exactly what is happening as galaxies are moving faster and faster away from each other, which is usually related to some unknown "dark energy". Is this really the swan song of time?

About Time Ending.
Time ending is both inevitable and impossible.
The way it would end is that if the universe kept expanding, all of the matter would compact into black holes.
After that, the black holes would give out radiation and dissolve. (This is over the course of billions of years.)
The radiation would then dissipate.
After that. nothing changes.
Even if one person managed to survive, everything that would happen would quickly undo itself. You could not change anything in the universe, simply, because there would be nothing to change. Nothing has infinite supplies, so everything would come to an end.
And just sit there.
Forever.
